Restaurant City Game

My sister introduced me to this game. At first, I'm not interested to the game. Now, I am so addicted to this game! Is a something like you open your restaurant and sell some food in the restaurant. Then people will start to come into your restaurant to eat. You don't need to invite them. Your main point is to arrange the table and place your staff to their designated job.

The tips to get more money and popularity points:
1. Do not make the waiter/ress walk to far from the chef and customer's table.
2. Do not put too many tables if you have small numbers of staffs you can hire. Eg. 2 waiters, 3 chefs and about 15 tables.
These will increase as your level increases and your restaurant and staff you hired increased!
3. The position of the tables and chairs is up to your own creativity. But just make sure the rule:1 apply.
4. For the first few level, you do not need toilet. You can wait until your customers request.
5. The faster the food serving time, means more customers will come to your restaurant.
6. Try to get more ingredients from daily enter to the game, and quiz that you have done with correct answer.

Living Room Renovation

This is a multipurpose shelf at the living room.

Brighter Kitchen Reno

Having a bright color will make the kitchen look bright and spacious.

Trendy Styles

Bright, Bold Colors
The light pastels and washed-out whites of past proms are out, and this year it’s time to stand out and shine in a bold color. Not only are bright colors eye-catching and attention grabbing, they also tend to draw out attractive features and bring color to the face. Bright oranges, pinks, and yellows will definitely be present in the prom court this year. If you are not quite ready to stand out completely in a bright colored dress, try adding a colorful sash, pareo, or other accent to your prom dress to jazz up your style.

Star-Studded Gowns
Sequins, rhinestones, beads, and jewels are all the rage this season. A dash of glittery extras is the easiest way to add some terrific style to a plain dress. Plus, nothing catches the light and draws eyes like flashy jewels. A sparkly tiara is the perfect accessory to a star-studded gown. This year, indulge all of your princess dreams with a bejeweled prom dress.

Hollywood Style
If you have ever caught yourself drooling over a stunning dress on your favorite Hollywood actress, this is the year for you. The hottest dress styles from the red carpets are making their way into high school proms throughout the country. As you watch the A-list celebrities at award shows this year, take down notes on your favorite dresses and see if you can’t replicate the fashions with your very own diva-style prom dress.

Wedding Dress
TrainsYou may have been planning your wedding since you were six years old, but this is the year to get a real taste of the matrimonial glamour. Prom dresses are including trains of all lengths for sensational style. Choose anything from a small duster to a full-length chapel train and have your date treat you like true royalty. Nothing says prom queen like an attendant carrying your train.

Short, Full Skirts
If you have ever dreamed of being a prima ballerina, this trendy dress is definitely the style for you. To find this style, you will want to look for dresses with knee-length, poufy skirts and snug bodices. The tight bodice will show off your beautiful waist and upper body while the full skirt is flirty and fun. For extra party style, look for a dress with a tulle overlay in the skirt.

Feathery Details
Dresses with feathered or lacy details on the skirt or bustline will be taking the prom court by storm this season. Feathery details are a funky alternative to sequins or other, more classic niceties and they are a perfect complement to your own unique style. Look for a feathered gown with an asymmetrical, ruffled hemline for an edge over the style competition.

Tie-Dyed
You know you secretly loved the casual, devil-may-care look of tie-dyed t-shirts when you were a little girl. Luckily for you, the tie-dyed look is back and it’s not just for t-shirts anymore. You can find prom dresses in a literal kaleidoscope of colors for every body type and shape. If you like the idea of a tie-dyed gown, wear strappy gold or silver sandals with your dress to step your style factor up a notch.

Asymmetrical Hems
If you can never quite make up your mind between a short skirt and a floor-length ball gown, why not go for both this year? With a high-low cut dress (high in front, long in the back), you can have a dress that both sweeps the floor and shows off your sexy legs. You can be sure that all eyes will be on you in this unique, flattering style.

Flattering Dress Styles for Every Body Shape

Curves:
A sexy, curvy, Marilyn Monroe body merits some well-deserved attention. To highlight your hourglass figure, choose a ball gown with a full skirt and a boned corset. The corset will flatter your waist and display your luscious hips and bust while the full skirt will hide any unwanted weight in the legs and thighs.

Small Waist:
To highlight and draw attention to a tiny waist, try a belted dress with a sash or tie at the middle. Any extra detail at your waist will draw eyes toward your tiny middle and away from less flattering features.

Great Calves:
To draw eyes down toward your sexy, hard-won calf muscles, try a full-skirted dress that falls just at the knee. This flirty dress style is trendy and popular for the season and will highlight the sexy, lower part of your legs. An at-the-knee cut is also one of the most flattering dress cuts for women.

Sexy Back:
If you have great, toned back muscles and want to show them off, try wearing a backless gown. Guys will hardly be able to look away from you on the dance floor while your strong upper body is delicately framed in a flattering gown. Be sure to invest in a strapless, backless bra so you have adequate support in the front.

Toned Shoulders:
If years of volleyball or basketball have given you sexy, toned shoulders, try wearing a strapless gown with a heart-shaped bodice. The shaping will flatter and draw attention to your sexy arms. Also, be sure to wear your hair up for complete flaunting of your upper body.

Voluptuous Bust:
To display a sexy bust, try a dress with a plunging neckline to exhibit just a hint of cleavage and wide straps to hide your bra. Use a brooch, flower, bow, or other accessory between your breasts to draw attention to that flattering feature. Just be careful to wear a bra with adequate support to give shaping to your sexy breasts.

Flat, Sexy Abs:
To show off your model-thin stomach and muscular abs, try a dress in a light, pastel color with semi-sheer paneling at the waist. The paneling will reveal just a hint of skin for seductive flare while the light color will give you a flirty, fun look.

To-Die-For Legs:
To draw eyes and attention toward your sexy legs, try a gown with an asymmetrical hem to show off just a hint of leg for some innocent allure. The asymmetrical gown is more elegant and formal than a miniskirt and is guaranteed to be more flattering than a straight off cut.

Fabulous Butt:
If you have a great butt and aren’t afraid to show if off a little, try a dress with ruffles or other accents in the back to draw eyes toward your butt. The ruffles will flatter a sexy butt in a flirtier, more feminine way than skin-tight fabric.

One of these styles is sure to please both you and your date, so choose your favorite feature and flatter it shamelessly.

Stubborn Itchy Cough

The weather for the past few months have been very unpredictable.Almost everyone is sick and not feeling well. Especially children tend to get flu, phelgm, cough and fever. When my daughter have a cough I will brew this for her to drink. This is something good to strenghten her immune system and it is suppose to help eliminate phelgmy itchy coughs..
One can easily purchase a packet or two from the local chinese medical shops. It consists of dried honey dates, dried figs, dried sliced pears, chinese almond and a piece of sweetened dried mandarin orange. A packet of RM5.00 is enough for a family of 4 -5 persons. It is also children friendly cos it’s sweet and will not overdose.

To brew it, just put 3 litres of filtered water into a soup pot, pour in all the contents and boil steadily for 2 hour. The taste is not bitter, it is sweet so is nice for children to drink. My daughter is 3+ years old, so I give a 1-2 cups a day. Kids below 2 is not advisable to drink.

Sibling age gaps: how they affect families

Now my daughter is already 3+, is about time to have a 2nd child? All my friends always question me when am I having my 2nd child. To many of them said that age gap is important. Not to far apart is good. So I start to some research on what is true. I can't really find the exact answer. Here are some of the suitable articles found.

Is there a "right" gap?
There's no absolute "right" gap, although there might be circumstances in your family that mean it's sensible to wait less or more time before trying for another baby. In any of these circumstances, you might feel time isn't on your side and you need to get moving. On the other hand, if you're in your twenties and have toddler twins there might be a lot of sense in delaying a third baby.

But it's not true that there's some magical gap that makes life easier and better for all concerned. Every age gap has its pros and cons, and personality factors mean that what might work well in one family isn't as successful in another.

What would a small gap be like?
Generally speaking, the closer in age your children are, the harder work it is for you in the early months and years. If the gap is very small (some couples even manage to have two children within the space of a year) it can almost feel like having twins, with all the demands of two babies at one time. Life will probably be a hard slog for a while, and things like getting out of the house, travelling and getting a good night's sleep may be difficult.

On the plus side, a small gap means that the existing child will never really remember life without a sibling which some parents think will reduce rivalry.

There may be childcare considerations too. If you're working it may be easier to sort out childcare for two or three children of a similar age together rather than having years of planning different childcare arrangements.

In the long term, a small gap probably means it will be easier to entertain children during the school holidays as they're more likely to want to do the same sorts of things. Although looking even further ahead, you may have a lot of higher education costs within a short space of time.

What would a big gap be like?
A bigger gap of three or more years means you'll be plunged back into caring for a baby having come up for air after your last child. For some people this is a definite advantage. If you love looking after a small baby and want to cherish every moment of it, having a bigger gap means you may have more time to devote to the new arrival while the older child or children are at playgroup, nursery or school.

Couples with big gaps between their children often say they have "enjoyed them more" because they were able to concentrate on each child without feeling constantly under pressure. But other parents who relish a sense of freedom as the baby years are behind them might not be as pleased to be back to breastfeeding and night-time waking.

For some women, the sense of getting your body back into shape before diving again into pregnancy is important. It's sometimes easier to lose weight gained during pregnancy and to keep it off if you have a bigger gap.

What's the best advice?
But the best advice, if you have a choice, is to wait until you feel you can cope with whatever is already on your plate before you start planning to increase the burden. If you feel you're only just keeping your head above water, and you have time on your side, it makes sense to wait until you're more confidently on top of things before increasing the already-heavy demands of being a parent.

What is the best age gap between siblings?

In my family, my sister and I are 6 years apart. We do talks, share and quarrels very often. For us, I would said that distance plays a strong role than age gap! She moved back to Penang lasat year and I'm at KL. So we seldom see each other that often. And because of the distance we tend to talk more everytime we meet. If gap is a concern than 1 - 5 year gap is the better gap between kids.

Looking at my family and the families of my childhood friends, I believe there are other factors that affect the relationship between siblings, like:

1. The age of the parents
2. The kids' genders
3. The neighbourhood and social surroundings
4. The parents' professions and financial situation at different stages of the kids' lives
5. Sickness, medical or mental problems and other major events in life
6. The kids' relative order in the family

In another hand, a smaller gap between babies gets the hard work over with more quickly but the expenses come closer together and there may be more squabbling later as the children's interests overlap. While, larger gaps give you the opportunity to enjoy each child as an individual and to give them your undivided attention for the first few years. It also means you can spread the cost of having children over a longer period of time.

In general, it is sensible to wait at least six months to a year before trying to conceive again in order to give your next baby a healthier start to life.

What do you have to say about age gap? Any viewers?

Tips for introducing new foods to a picky eater

Your child has an innate sense of how much food his body needs to grow and be healthy, and it's up to him to decide what he's going to eat. The best thing you can do is to provide a wide variety of healthful foods in a positive, relaxed environment so that mealtimes will be enjoyable for everyone.

Here are some specific tips on how to handle a picky eater:

1. Serve a variety of good foods for your toddler to eat at each meal. When you do offer a new food, simply place it on your child's highchair tray without making a a big deal about it. Make sure the food you choose is age-appropriate.

2. Introduce new foods one at a time and in small amounts. Instead of offering an entire meal of unfamiliar foods, for example, offer standard fare or favorites along with something new. Always offer a meal that includes at least one thing you know your toddler likes.

3. Use toddler-size portions. A serving of bread for a 1-year-old is only 1/4 slice, and a serving of rice, potatoes, or pasta is only about 2 tablespoons — much smaller than an adult serving size.

4. Understand that some children's palates are more sensitive than others' and they simply won't like the texture, color, or taste of some foods. That's why a child might claim to dislike a food he has never even tried.

5. Look for ways to boost the nutritional value of the dishes your toddler enjoys. Add some wheat germ or tuna to his macaroni casserole and little chunks of fruit to his favorite cereal, for example.

6. Resist the urge to offer sugary foods in an effort to get your toddler to eat more. You want to develop his sense of culinary adventure, not his sweet tooth!

7. Minimize distractions at the table. If a sibling is running around nearby, your toddler may have trouble maintaining interest in the food being served.

8 Fun Ideas To Get Your Kids To Eat Their Veggies

Do you have trouble getting your kids to eat their veggies? To be frank, I don't. My daughter loves to eat veggies but she is a picky eater. Here are some fun and sometimes sneaky ways to get some veggies in toddlers.

1) Make big pot of vegetable soup, and then add some fun noodle shapes. You can use alphabet noodles or look for some fun novelty shapes. You may be able to find some cartoon characters, toy and sports shapes etc. I have even seen pumpkin and Christmas tree shapes. With a little luck your kids will be too busy spelling words, or identifying the shape to notice all the veggies they are eating in the soup.

2) If you can’t make them eat it, make them drink it. Pour some vegetable juice over ice and add a straw, a cocktail umbrella or a stick of celery and watch them drink it up. Your kids may not get as much fiber as eating the entire vegetable, but getting them to drink their vegetables is better than not getting any vegetables in their system.

3) Have you tried offering them some raw vegetables with some ranch dressing to dip them in? Many kids who don’t care much for cooked vegetables will eat them up if they can dip them. Just grab a bag of baby carrots and cut up some red and yellow peppers and some cucumber. Arrange them on a plate with a little bit of ranch dressing or your favorite vegetable dip on the side.

4) Take it even a step further and let them create artwork out of their vegetables. Offer raw vegetables in different colors and shapes and encourage them to make a vegetable collage on their plate. You can easily make a face using slices of cucumber as eyes, a baby carrot as nose and a slice of red pepper as a mouth. You can use watercress or shredded carrots or even some cheese as hair. Before you know it, you’ll find them sampling their “art supplies”.

5) To get them to eat more vegetables at dinnertime try a little salad bar. Put out some lettuce, some sliced or chopped tomato, slices of cucumber, shredded carrot, slices of red and yellow peppers, small broccoli flowerets and anything else you can think of. You may also want to offer them some choices when it comes to salad dressing. Favorites in our house are Ranch, Italian, Catalina, and French. To top it all of set out some croutons and shredded cheese.

6) Get the kids together and make a cold vegetable pizza. Start out with a can of crescent rolls. Unroll the dough, but don’t pull the triangle shapes apart. Instead push the seams together and bake on a baking sheet according to the package directions. Let the sheet of dough cool completely, then spread with some crème cheese (we like a vegetable or herb flavored one) and top with some thinly sliced raw veggies. Cut into squares and serve.

7) Get them involved in the kitchen especially when it comes to cooking. Ask them to wash the vegetables, if they are old enough let them cut veggies (under your supervision of course), let them help you stir, or anything else you can think of that would be age appropriate. You’ll be amazed at how proud they will be of their finished product. Believe me, they’ll try just about anything if they made it.

8) If everything else fails, hide the vegetables in other food. My mom used to make us some special orange mashed potatoes. We thought it was very fancy, but all she did was to cook some carrots with the potatoes and mashed them right in there. You can also cover broccoli with tomato sauce or cheese. Think of a dish your child really enjoys and sneak a little bit of vegetable in there.

Give a few of these ideas a try and see which ones work best for your children. Keep at it and sooner or later they will start to develop a taste for vegetables

Reducing High Blood Pressure

Do you know Chinese Celery can reduce high blood pressure. Amazing!

While all celery is good for the health, being rich in iron, potassium, and vitamins A, B1, B2, C, and D, Chinese celery is said to have a number of medicinal benefits. Warm Chinese celery juice is traditionally used to cure jaundice and low fever. It is a diuretic and may be used to promote healthy urination, as well as to replace electrolytes when a person is dehydrated. Chinese celery has also been used to treat such various conditions as high blood pressure, rheumatism, digestive problems, and scurvy.

When purchasing Chinese celery, look for crisp stems and fresh, vibrant leaves. Do not choose celery with any yellowing or wilted portions. Before cooking, wash the celery and remove the tough outer strings. It can be stored in the refrigerator in a well-sealed plastic bag for weeks.

Simple Preparation:
1. Wash chinese celery with water. Cut away the stem.
2. Boil water with about one handful of chinese celery.
3. No adding sugar or salt! Just drink it plain.

10 Ways to Boost Immune Health

People who pick three or more of the suggestions from this list - and stick to them - will substantially improve their immune strength, increase their ability to stay sane and healthy through dreaded cold and flu season, and keep their health and happiness up through the darkest months of the year!

1. Drink your lemons. Lemon is the ideal food for restoring acid-alkali balance. Drinking freshly squeezed lemon juice in water, or adding it to tea, salad dressings (in place of vinegar), baking or cooking, helps maintain the body's internal "climate" at a pH which supports healthy bacteria instead of the viruses and harmful bacteria which thrive in more acidic environments.

2. Give your body an herbal boost. Hundreds of herbal supplements and tinctures exist to give the immune system additional support during the winter.

3. Get a full night's sleep. Everybody's different: your body may need anywhere from 6 to 10 hours of sleep each night.

4. Eat plenty of protein. Protein is a building block for a healthy body, mind, and immune system. Diets low in protein tend to be high in carbs which convert readily to glucose, spiking blood sugar and stressing the pancreas and the immune system.

5. Drink plenty of water. This is almost, but not quite, a given; most headaches occur because despite the number of reminders, people still aren't getting enough water!

6. Stop drinking coffee. Contrary to recent marketing as a source of antioxidants, chocolate and coffee are two of the worst things you can do for your immune system and your health.

7. Worse yet is the impact of refined white sugar. If you do only one thing to boost your immune system, eliminating sugar will do the trick.

8. Stock up on raw fruits and vegetables for their antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, fibre and enzymes. Many vitamins, including C, are antioxidants and will protect cells - including those of your immune system - from damage by toxins in the environment. Dark-coloured produce (berries, kale, broccoli) tends to be higher in flavonoids, polyphenols and other antioxidants.

9. Spend some time out in the cold. Exercise can make a noticeable difference to your health and happiness by releasing endorphins.

10. Nurture yourself. Make sure you take time to yourself, spend some time with friends, and indulge yourself in a massage, a hot bath, or an energy work session when you want one. Our bodies respond to our emotions - if you're feeling harassed and anxious, it can manifest in a sore throat or a cold.

For sure the picture show a layered hair cut but she ended up cutting a straight shoulder length hair for me!! I did mentioned I wanted a bit layer hair...urrggghhh.. (My mum also can cut this shoulder length hair for me too!!)

Luckily, the cutting is not too short so is not too ugly. If not I will going to kill her!!!

Schokolart, Soho KL @ Solaris Mont Kiara

My friend and I went in for a try. This place is suitable for dine in for 2 or small family. A romantic environment for couples who loves chocolate! We order the bake potatoes comes with small portion of salad. The taste is nice and quite fragrant. For drinks we order some dark chocolate, it turns out alittle bitter but Vanilla Chocolate (cold) is nice cos of the taste of the vanilla.

They also have buffet (dessert) fondue, strawberry, mixed fruit and many type of chocolates. For chocolate lovers this is MUST TRY!!!
Price is about RM35 (for adult) and for my daughter below 4 years old is FREE!

Is located in Plaza Solaris, 1st floor (same building with SohoKL). The restaurant is facing at the back (near to Dessertbar and Kenny Roger).

Honeymoon restaurant

I went to the restaurant but don't really like the desserts. I can't remember the name of the dessert. I called the mixed fruit with sago (the taste is no good!), another one is black glutionous rice with banana (just okay) and jelly pudding with mango (this is good, coz is served cold). I think for dessert there you need to eat it cold..... Oh yes, I also order the durian cake (rm9 for 2 small pieces) is not too bad.

I prefer SS2 (Manglo). Better taste but abit crowded especially on weekend night.

I like this place for western food. My usual hangout place for lunch. They also served others like fried rice, nasi lemak, ice cream, soft drinks and etc.

Normally we will order our usual favourite Ham Spagetti, Chicken Chop and Mushroom soup with garlic bread.

Price are reasonable for western food. And the environment is okay. Very windy sometimes. They don't served food very fast. So make sure you have enough time to eat and relax. :)

The restaurant is located inside Millennium condo (SS14, PJ).

Satay

This stall is open right in front of Bestari Mamak restaurant (beside the 7 eleven). The malay aunty only open at night time. Close on sunday. One stick is 60 sen. (if not mistaken) The satay is quite fragrant.

Pan Mee @ Segambut KL

Pokemon Noodle House @ Taman Sri Sinar, Kepong, Kuala Lumpur not too bad compare to most of the pan mee shop around. Besides 'cheng thong' pan mee, there also have tom yam, 'konlo', and many more.
Rate: 6/10.

Today I went to eat at Kah Hing restaurant (just 2 doors way fr the pan mee shop). I ate konlo kuey teow. And they also provide one small bowl of fish ball shop. Quite good.
Rate: 6/10

Opposite the noodle house is a roast pork and chicken rice shop. This shop is famous with their roast pork rice at Kepong and Segambut area.. I can't remember what is the name of the shop called. (will check out soon).

Beef Noodle soup

Some people have mentioned this shop is good with their beef noodle. But I have not tried them yet! Just put it, in case you guys are looking for place to eat BEEF NOODLE SOUP!!
Can tried then give me feedback..kekekee..

Pan Mee

I am one of the Pan mee fan. I have tried this shop, their Pan Mee not too bad. Their Chef Specialty Pan Mee soup is one of the best. I don't like their Kim Chee Pan Mee soup (it doesn't tastes like kim chee)! The taste doesn't flows together. Maybe I have eaten the korean kim chee (korean homemade style).

The price is abit expensive compare to outside stall. But the environment is not too bad. The shop are air condition and the staff gives good services. When they are not many people they will smile to you!!

I love their dry chillies and green sambal. But is pretty spicy for those who can't stand hot food..
More pan mee search to come!!!!!

Curry Mee

Cravy for penang food is very usual sometimes. This taste like penang curry mee! Something i wouldn't miss... It's located near Jalan 222 PJ . Just behind the Shell station there are one row of shoplot. The corner coffee shop next to 7 eleven and Magnum lottery shop. I go there almost every Sunday for breakfast.

Besides this curry mee, there are another stall selling Hokkien Mee also very good. Prices RM4.00 (consider quite reasonable in KL). If I'm not mistaken, the stalls only sells during morning till about 3pm. During the night other vendors will open for Dai Chay.

Pumpkin Stir-fry

I went to eat at the Korean restaurant (home cook style). I usually don't like pumpkin but this is nice. This is korean side dish. My girl loves to eat the dish with porridge because the tastes is sweet and very fragrant cos of the sesame oil.

Ingredients:
50 gms pumpkins
2 tablespoons of sugar (depending on own liking)
1/2 cups of water
3 tablespoons of sesame oil
1 pint of salt

Preparation:
1. Peel and slice the pumpkin skin.
2. Add the pumpkin with sugar and sesame oil.
3. Stir fry the pumpkin until tender for 20 mins.
4. Add in water and salt.
5. Garnish with sesame seed when serving.

Serve with
White rice (fragrant) or porridge
